Start with the frame you can use comfortably

FLINT ST uses a step-through frame; Tarmac uses a step-over frame. Easy mounting, standover clearance and recommended rider height can matter every time you stop. Confirm the selected size with Mokwheel. These frames should not be treated as interchangeable just because both models can serve everyday trips.

Look at the full power and battery combination

FLINT ST publishes a 350 W continuous motor and 36V 10Ah battery. Tarmac publishes 750 W continuous and 48V 15Ah. Those figures describe different systems, but they do not independently establish hill-climbing performance, efficiency or which will suit a particular rider. Consider the terrain and ask about assistance, gearing and the current configuration.

Read the tire formats in context

FLINT ST lists CST 700 × 45C tires; Tarmac lists 29 × 2.35-inch tires. The Tarmac is positioned for commuting, pavement and light trails. The FLINT ST is a city option with a chain drivetrain, separate from the FLINT PRO ST belt-drive model. Match the actual model name and variant when checking retailer offers.

A lighter listing does not settle every lifting question

FLINT ST publishes 40 lb. Current and indexed official Tarmac weights conflict, so we leave that weight to retailer confirmation. If stairs, a rack or public transport are central to your day, ask for the exact variant’s weight and dimensions. Check your transport equipment’s limits before buying.

A useful shortlist

Start with FLINT ST when you want the published lighter city format and a step-through frame. Explore Tarmac for a step-over hybrid and a broader pavement/light-trail brief. FLINT ST claims up to 70 miles and Tarmac up to 60; those maxima are not comparable independent tests and do not guarantee that the smaller battery takes you farther on your route.
